I will be 28 years old this month and I have known that I was conceived with the help of a sperm donor since I was 10 years old. It may have been years ago now, but I will never forget my reaction- complete shock. It was like an out of body experience, I sat beside myself. It brought on sudden explosive feelings of anger. Was this for real?

My parents had been married for years. My father was unable to have kids when he met my mom, and she knew that. She says the only thing she ever wanted was a child. One day, after many years of waiting for a child, the dream became a reality through the help of a sperm donor. I have a brother and twin sisters, and we were all conceived this way.

I feel the same emotions as everyone else in my situation. Of course there is curiosity and it will never go away. I am just happy to be alive and I love my DAD more than anything in the world! I don't need the answers, I LOVE being different and mysterious.

Kaleigh's Story

My Dad had a vasectomy after he had my two siblings with his first wife.

He married my mom and she desperately wanted to have her own child. My Dad didn't want to reverse his surgery so he supported my mom through artificial insemination.

I look exactly like my mom. I am eighteen now and I have this one specific picture of her from when she was twenty three, I look like her twin. No one can tell that my Dad is not my biological father because I look so much like my mom.

My entire life my parents have been explaining to me how I was concieved, I feel like that was the best thing they could do. They were honest to me so I always knew how I was created. I am extremely grateful for my life and the mystery man who donated the sperm that made me!

I support sperm donation completely and I am currently researching so that I can donate my eggs! Plus, the man who raises you and teaches you to drive and golf is the person who is your "dad" and I am a daddy's girl to the full extent!
